FOR THE COMING SPRING, 2015

we would love to offer a couple,  one week intensive workhops, learning earth bag building, One in mid March; one in mid April, Jehane, ‘Jann’, spent a couple of years learning with Nader Khalili and Iliona Outram, when Cal-Earth Institute began.  Limit to 6 participants. Includes, accomodations, bed, food, for $900,
As Casey had suggested, especially city people would love  some quiet and meditation weekends, off the grid of everything! .
Come hanging out with us! on the rough!

For those of us who come and live here this is A gift from the quiet, spacious and star filled desert!

Spend a few days, weeks!!!  After a few hours of good excercise on filling bags for walls and the domes, plastering, hike the mountains, explore Death Valley etal, enjoy the wonderful hot baths in Tecopa, half hour west.

For those of us who come by plane, we could organize to pick you up at the international airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, an hour east.

this past year, 2014,   March through May, we plastered the middle dome, thanks to Eric Barnestable and his idea to use the iron tailings from the mine he was working on. Chip, as always! helping him too. Scott helped throwing too!

Scott finished the design and installed the top! a 5 star formation with little windows all around.

there was a plastering  party. Lara and neighboring Kelly family,

Erik Ven came with apprentices, Liz Kerby from last spring and new,I Tanna. More rows and another window went up.

Chip brought up the trailer from the Charleston View property. He did magic to beef up this old trailer, remade a part that was open , covered the sad interrior, added shelves, a bed and, lastly, the corrugated metal roof over all.

The little  middle dome, someone said, looks like a large dark termite,

is ready  to receive people who would like to spend an overnight or more here.

Get in touch with Chip in Charleston View, 775 990  3092,  to set up a stay over.

Erik plans to have people come to finish and plaster. this fall,  Join him.
